Kitchen remodeling has numerous features and it is different from other types of repairs. The most important goal in this case is not to block a space, but, on the contrary, to make it more voluminous and to give a sense of freedom. For this, there is an infinite number of various design techniques and methods, as well as building materials, practical and sufficiently durable. Therefore, we need to start by thinking about what we want from remodeling and how to start with it.

1. Estimate the scope of work

Do you want to make a complete remodeling or you need just cosmetic repairs?

Major repairs will require more effort and money, but you will also feel the effect from it 10-15 years ago. With finishing of a new building from scratch, for some reason, builders are limited only by lifting walls.

If it is hard to decide which design of kitchen you need, use ready-made projects, compiled independently or even better ask professionals for help.

You must already know where and what equipment will be used. This information will be needed at the next stage.

2. Estimate the state of communications: electrical wiring, water, gas, sewerage

Determine whether you need to change some kind of communication.

If your house is new, you do not need to change communications. They are new. However, a distribution of water pipes and install sockets (with grounding!) - requires compulsory work.

If in your apartment repair was not done for about twenty years, then it is more serious: heating, sewerage and water pipes in houses of 15 years and older require your attention.

Pay special attention to hiring an electrician. In each house, there are many household appliances. Wiring should be modern, able to withstand high loads. Sockets should be installed so they are convenient to work with kitchen appliances.

Do not regret working with communications forces and means: your safety is more important than money! Invite qualified specialists to perform this work.

3. Estimate the condition of walls, floor, ceiling and window

First, you need to determine in what state floor, walls, ceiling and window are. Write down all that should be dismantled and replaced with new ones.

Think and decide which finishing materials you will use for floors, walls and ceilings.

A floor can be made of tiles, as well as laminate, parquet, linoleum. Walls can be plastered and painted. What about ceiling - from gypsum board or just enough to whitewash? The choice is yours.

4. Make the final order of work

These includes the following:

-          Placing a new electrical wiring, put out the sockets;

-          Changing pipes of water supply and sewerage;

-          Placing new windows;

-          Placing coupler on floor;

-          Plastering and leveling of walls;

-          Plastering and painting of ceiling or install tension;

-          Making new coating on a floor (linoleum, laminate, linoleum);

-          Installation of furniture and doors

This is a complete list of works; it can be reduced, clean unnecessary stages. For example, if windows are in good condition, why change them?
